Homemade Chili & Garlic Paste

Spice up your valentine dish by making your very own Chili & Garlic paste.  This recipe has been used by Indian families for generations.  In fact, some eat it just with a chapati (Roti).

I like mixing it with tomato ketchup, then make cheesy toast.  Basically, get a slice of bread, mix VERY little chili & garlic paste to the tomato ketchup, then mix and spread it over the bread then add grated cheese, sometimes I like adding sliced tomatoes and diced onions and then grill/broil!  YUM!!!

Here is the recipe for the paste:

2 tablespoons freshly grated garlic

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon

2 tablespoon olive oil

2 tablespoons chili powder

Add all the above ingredients into a food processor and grind.

The paste can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 months.

Other suggestions for the paste is to add it to a stir fry, sauces, very often I also mix a little with olive oil and pour it over a pizza and then grill/broil.
